This Koyo GS-series thrust roller bearing housing washer is designed for use with Koyo K-series thrust cylindrical roller and cage assemblies and Koyo AXK-series thrust needle roller and cage assemblies in applications where adjacent components cannot serve as raceways. This housing washer (outer ring) is mounted in the housing and serves as a raceway surface for the rolling elements. The raceway is precision ground for tighter tolerances than unground raceways and lapped flat to create a finely finished, flat surface. The washer is made of low alloy, through-hardened carbon-chromium steel for durability, heat tolerance, and resistance to deformity under heavy loads. This housing washer is manufactured to PN (normal) tolerances in accordance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 199, and it is suitable for use in various applications including machine tool drive shafts, automotive steering gears and clutches, rotary tables, outboard motor propellers, and household appliances.
